Our home
Being a boutique care home gives us many advantages over our competitors as we can offer the personal touch to all parts of our service.
Every bedroom in the building is different which means we can cater for everyone’s preferences. Some residents prefer a room in the original Victorian building where high ceilings and traditional features are apparent, whereas other residents gravitate towards our more modern rooms in our new extension. Choosing the right room (subject to availability) is all part of the fun and really helps the settling-in process.
All our visitors tell us that our main building gives a great first impression. From the minute you drive into Arlington House, to the time you walk into reception, there’s always an original feature or talking point close by.
Our residents can choose to sit in our cosy lounge or for those that prefer more natural light, our newly built orangery is always a popular choice. Meals are served in our vintage tea-room themed dining room, where residents can enjoy their meal surrounded by memorabilia designed to evoke happy memories.
Once a week, our residents get the chance to experience a trip to the hairdressers in our very own dementia-friendly hair salon. With plenty of classic wall art to keep them occupied, they can relax and get pampered in the process.
Arlington House also has extensive external areas for our residents to relax. At the rear of the home is a large 100ft garden which is a great place for our walkers and sun worshippers! And to the side of the home, we have a non-slip decking area which is a perfect spot for a morning cup of tea or an afternoon activity.
